1970. 07 Established as a joint venture of Daicel Corporation and Huels AG (Now, Evonik Industries AG), Germany.
1988. 05 Aboshi Technical Center was opened.
1998. 07 Aboshi Plant obtained certification of ISO9002 (JQA2481)
1999. 02 Huels AG joined with Degussa AG and changed it's name as Degussa-Huels AG.
2000. 05 Degussa Huels AG merged SKW Trostberg AG and changed it's name as Degussa AG.
2000. 12 Aboshi Plant obtained certification of ISO14001 (JQA-EM1229)
2001. 06 Following the name change of German parent company, Daicel-Huels Ltd. changed it's name to Daicel-Degussa Ltd.
2002. 03 DAIAMID® coating powder was certified as "Powder Resin Coating Material for Nylon Coated Steel Pipe" of Japan Water Works Association (JWWA).
2002. 07 One line of compound production was fully renewed to enhance it's production.
2002. 07 C8 & C12 Monomer business was transferred from Degussa Japan.
2003. 02 ISO9002 was renewed to ISO9001.
2003. 03 Certified as "Green Partner" of Sony Corporation passing their Evaluation Standard for Environment and Quality Assurance System.
2003. 12 Degussa AG transferred share to their subsidiary, Degussa Japan Co., Ltd. Accordingly Daicel-Degussa Ltd. became a joint venture of Daicel Chemical Industries 50%, Degussa Japan 50%
2006. 01 PMMA molding compound business was transferred from Degussa Japan.
2007. 04 04 PEEK business launched in Japan.
2007. 09 Degussa GmbH changed it's name to Evonik Degussa GmbH
2008. 01 Daicel-Degussa changed it's name to Daicel-Evonik Ltd. following the name change of Evonik Degussa GmbH.
2010. 01 Films & Foams business was transferred from Evonik Degussa Japan.
2021. 12 Daicel Corporation has transferred shares of Polyplastics-Evonik Corporation to Polyplastics Co., Ltd.
2022. 04 Daicel-Evonik changed it's name to Polyplastics-Evonik Corporation
