Daicel-Evonik’s transparent resin TROGAMID has been adopted for use in bright-colored, ultra-light glasses frames made in Japan

Daicel-Evonik Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Andre Noppe) is pleased to announce that its TROGAMID has been adopted by MEGANE TOP Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shizuoka-shi, Shizuoka; President: Masahiro Tomizawa) for use in ALOOK Ultra Fit, ultra-light glasses released by their ALOOK Sales Department.

Transparent nylons that have conventionally been used for ultra-light glasses could not get rid of its slight yellow fade. In contrast, TROGAMID® is almost crystal-clear and therefore has high color development performance, being capable to produce brightly colored ultra-light plastic frames. TROGAMID is also characteristic in its high chemical resistance, durability, shock-proof performance, and toughness that other transparent nylons do not have, enabling these glasses frames to be used on diverse occasions in life.
