Polyplastics ‑ Evonik Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku‑ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director Vitor Lavini) hereby announces that it will change its corporate name to Daicel ‑ Evonik Corporation, effective April 1, 2026.

The Company has operated under the name Polyplastics  ‑ Evonik Corporation since April 2022 as part of an internal group reorganization implemented by its parent company, Daicel Corporation (Head Office: Kita‑ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Yasuhiro Sakaki).

Subsequently, Daicel Corporation resolved that, effective April 1, 2026, it will acquire the engineering plastics business of its consolidated subsidiary, Polyplastics Co., Ltd., through a simplified absorption‑type company split, and will operate the business integrally within Daicel’s High Performance Polymers (HPP) Strategic Business Unit. In conjunction with this transaction, Polyplastics Co., Ltd. will transition into a pure holding company and change its corporate name to HPP Holdings Corporation.

In light of these organizational changes, the Company has decided to revert its corporate name to Daicel ‑ Evonik Corporation in order to clearly communicate its business positioning and to more explicitly demonstrate its strategic partnership with Daicel Corporation and Evonik Industries to customers and other external stakeholders.

Going forward, the Company will further strengthen collaboration with Daicel Group’s high‑performance materials businesses and combine its established marketing and technical service capabilities with Evonik’s advanced materials technologies. Through these efforts, the Company aims to deliver higher value‑added solutions to customers worldwide. In addition, by enhancing application development capabilities and expanding its product portfolio, the Company seeks to achieve sustainable growth and create synergies with both parent companies.
